our roots
Happy to meet You!
There is only me actually, behind the scenes of Studio Reta.
My name is Margareta Csiszar, I am a botanical watercolor artist from Hungary, currently based in Boston, MA.
I created my company because I truly believe every artist has their own place in the world and I also wanted to make my art and design something beautiful to bring everyone closer to our roots.
To our roots to the nature, where everything is slower and simpler, where we can find the most amazing and beautiful creations.
My art is based on watercolor, plants, and flowers (but I like to go on adventures, and play sometimes with different mediums).
My inspiration is coming from everywhere: if I paint, draw or do my own DIYs I know that with time I became more aware of the details. It can be a textile, a color combo on the street, food ideas, a travel destination, feelings, music, or memory. Basically anything, sometimes it is hard to remember or see where it is coming from, but that is the beauty of it, it makes it unique.
I sell my artwork as fine art prints, greeting cards, and stationery items, stickers. I work for individual people, but also companies: mostly botanical artwork that they ask me to create. I made many wedding invitation sets, custom paintings, logos, calligraphy art, illustrations for children’s rooms, and so on. Watercolor is very versatile as a medium, and there are so many opportunities in this field. This is what I like the most about it.
In the last five years, I taught many watercolor classes for beginners and for advanced painters also. Teaching is something I never thought I would love, but it gave me so many things over the years, which makes me so grateful and happy. And all the people I met, it is just amazing experiences!
